University of Toulouse

The University of Toulouse was established in 1229 and now has about 17.000 students.

The creation of the International Criminal Law Centre of the University of Toulouse was approved on June 20th, 2005. The Centre aims to coordinate the formulation of a valid and adequate response to the problems arisen by the need for a global fight against terrorism and transnational organized crime.

The Centre is developing a project for the training of judiciary and law enforcement officers. Equally the Centre’s training seeks to explore all questions relating to the international cooperation in criminal matters, in particular those procedural questions that deal with the fundamental relationship between the State’s duty to ensure the safety of its nationals and the respect of the fundamental rights of persons within the framework of the legal system.

The International Criminal Law Centre of the University of Toulouse offers a Post-Graduate Diploma in International Criminal Law.
