Project Management

Responsibilities are distributed among the partners in relation to their expertise and the work plan.

Three teams have been identified to bear the responsibility for the success of each of the three main working packages. Their work comprises the stimulation of coordination of research and the preparation of events. It is directly related to the core of the coordination action and it differs from the management activities, which will be only performed by the project coordinator. Team coordinators are:

  • Prof. van Duyne from the Tilburg University for HUMSEC 1;
  • Prof. Daase from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München for HUMSEC 2;
  • Prof. Dimitrijevic from the Belgrade Centre of Human Rights for HUMSEC 3.

The three team coordinators and the project coordinator form the steering committee. The committee secure the continuity of the decision-making process in a bottom-up way, based on the activities carried out in the work packages. The steering committee will also stimulate the progress of the individual work packages and their mutual coordination and decide on the publication of working papers and other dissemination activities.

The project coordinator will have administrative functions and will be responsible for the dissemination of outputs, editing and publishing. He will also keep contact with the European Commission and supervise the project activities on both the scientific and the policy side to see whether any changes and adaptation will have to be proposed to the network members.
